DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

Through the film "To You, For Another Years." Me as The director wants to convey how important parental love is, even though every parent has their own way of conveying that they love their child.

This film will also be presented through the point of view of a teenager who is about to enter adulthood, who also has a vulnerability within him, internal factors caused by the departure of his mother andhatred of his father which is supported by external factors as job demands. Also Dika's point of view which triggers the conflict inside him will be proven by the figure of the father, where Dika's point of view towards mother and father is the wrong point of view. And because of an explanation from a father figure, Dika was finally able to let go of hate and let his mother go.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

Obsession. Obsession sometimes makes us forget that essentially we are just human beings, which are fragile and have complex feelings in them. Through the film Last Dance, we as directors want to provide an overview of how we as artists sometimes forget and give up ourselves for art, whatever form it may take. we pack with the family relationship between father and son which is our bridge to convey the message we want.

The relationship between father and son is sometimes very complex, in which the son in this film (Ivan) already has skills but the father (Ali) is always dissatisfied with his son's work. An unhealthy relationship emerged between the two of them. On the one hand, the child longs for validation from the father, but the father has his own way of educating his child.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

In the journey of life, fate always has a way of making someone fall and be hit, it is everyone's duty to stand strong and not look for a way out by giving up.

We must put behind a stigma/norm regarding the strata of roles in the family. Because in fact these norms doesn't apply to all families.

This film depicts the tense atmosphere of the destruction of a family at one night, and sacrificing one of the family members who has drowned in their dark life is a resolution to try to save the beautiful part that remains in their family.
